Katelyn Keenen, DVM
Chief of Staff
Dr. Keenen has been with Ashburn Village Animal Hospital since January 2023. She has a passion for establishing relationships with clients, educating others, and for practicing collaborative high-quality medicine. She believes strongly in the human animal bond and practicing modern medicine. Dr. Keenen is a native Texan, but has always been on the move, having spent time in New England, Texas, Oklahoma, and Singapore growing up. She attended the University of Connecticut for her undergraduate degrees in Animal Science and Veterinary Pathobiology, and went on to veterinary school at Texas A&M University, graduating in 2021. Dr. Keenen practiced in Texas prior to making the move to North Virginia in 2023. Dr. Keenen has special interests in ophthalmology, internal medicine, ultrasound, and soft tissue surgery. She practices on companion animals, including small exotic pets.
In her free time, Dr. Keenen loves spending time outside running or hiking! She has a personal goal of visiting every US National Park, and has completed 3 marathons. She enjoys travel and is an avid cook and baker. She especially loves spending time with her family and friends, including her husband, Daniel, and her 5 pets Trooper, a golden retriever mix, Millie, a Bernedoodle, and 3 cats Andy, Sasha, and Prim.
